Friday 3/31 Message to Families

Beloved Families,

Tomorrow begins the month of April and our “Hale, Yes!” Online Auction. The Nathan Hale Foundation is hosting the auction which this year honors and celebrates 60 years of excellence at Nathan Hale High School. We do hope to have our in-person event in the future, but for now, the way to participate is to join in the online fun and support our amazing school.

Bidding opens at 9am on Saturday, April 1.

Join us for our online “Hale Yes!” event to support our school. Follow the link above to see the catalogue and to bid. Look for experiences and items donated by faculty and our generous community of supporters. This year’s HaleYes! event celebrates a major milestone in Nathan Hale High School history! From the day the doors opened in 1963, Nathan Hale has been recognized for innovation and excellence in education, designed to create greater learning opportunities for all our students. The support of our families and community has been essential in this journey. We thank you for your support and hope you join us in our online “Hale Yes!” event.

Late Arriving Students, or Students Returning to School After an Appointment

All late students or students returning back to school after having left for an appointment should enter the building at the door located at the northwest corner of our building on 110th Street. These are the doors facing north (towards Jane Addams MS) that are closest to our Staff/Visitor Parking lot. Parents may want to pull up to those doors with their vehicles on 110th. After entering the building, students should go to the Attendance Office to check-in and get a pass to return to class. Late students attempting to enter at the Main Entry doors or the East doors will be directed to the north door closest to Attendance. Students may feel they can just go to their class directly but for safety reasons, it’s important for us to know who is on our campus.

Parents and Visitors Entry

For all parents and visitors coming to our campus during the school day, we ask that you enter through the Main/West entry doors that are visible from our Staff/Visitor parking lot. After entering, please stop by the Main Office to sign in. Please note that it is not necessary to come into the building to pick up your student who is dismissed early for an appointment or other commitment. See Early Dismissal Procedures from last week’s Friday message.

Have a great weekend!

With love,

William Jackson, Ed.D. (he, him)
