Wednesday 11/26 Family Message

Summary : Thanksgiving Break is here. May you all enjoy time with friends and family.

Happy Wednesday,

Thanksgiving Break is here. May you all enjoy time with friends and family. Take a moment to acknowledge Native Heritage Day on Friday, November 28, 2025. Chief Seattle once said, “Take only memories, Leave only footprints.” May you take the break to rest up and get things ready for the holiday season.

Thanksgiving Break is November 27-28, 2025. We will return to school on Monday December 1st. When we return we will have three weeks of school through Friday, December 19th. School will dismiss one hour early at 2:40pm on the 19th. SPS Winter Break is Monday, December 22nd through Friday, January 2nd. We will look forward to welcoming students back on Monday, January 5th. Please make sure that you fill out a Prearranged Absence Form if your student will be gone before or after these important dates. Forms can be picked up in the Attendance or Main Office.

Winter Open House Gratitude

Thank you to all who stopped by or ordered online and supported this event! The Winter Open House was a great success this year! We sold a record number of plants and with the addition of baked goods from the baking & pastry class, and some beautiful homemade goods from the business & marketing class, we far surpassed last year’s sales. There were handmade candles, croissants, hot cocoa bombs, lemon bars, French macarons, soaps, and so much more! We’re so proud of all the work our students put in to bring this event to life.

Winter Concerts

Hale Music Department will present 2 evenings of performances featuring the music ensemble classes. Both performances start at 7:00pm and are free!

Join us for these wonderful nights of music in the Nathan Hale PAC.

  • Friday, December 5 — Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Band
  • Friday, December 12 — Concert Choir, Concert Orchestra, Vocal Jazz

Winter Sports

With Winter Sports off and running, now is a good time to remind families about spectator expectations and standards of sportsmanship. Please see the Nathan Hale Athletics page for spectator information. Winter sports schedules can be found on the Metro League website. Come checkout the QUAD on Saturday. Go Raiders!

In the spirit of ensuring a positive environment for students, coaches, and fans we ask that all spectators, parents, students and fans follow the Metro League/Nathan Hale spectators’ expectations at events. No disruptive, inappropriate, or vulgar behavior will be tolerated. Any person who violates these expectations may be asked to leave and/or no longer attend NH events. Please connect with a gym supervisor or the athletic director if you have concerns. Hale Yes!
