Friday 6/12 Family Message

Happy Friday,

What an exciting and joyous week as we graduated our 2026 Nathan Hale seniors. The graduation ceremony was the purest reflection of all of Hale’s greatness and diversity. I was so proud of the graduates for their participation and drive to finish strong. The student speakers and musical pieces added the perfect touch to an amazing evening. Thank you to all the parents, families, and community members who helped get seniors to graduation.

Today we started the fourth quarter finals in periods 1 & 4. I wish all students the best of luck as they wrap up their studies for this 25-26 school year. They will have the remaining finals next week on Monday, June 15th and Tuesday, June 16th. See the website for the finals bell schedule. Please encourage your student(s) to study up and prepare for their finals. And remember the last day of school is on Wednesday, June 17th. It is a one-hour early dismissal at 2:40pm. We will follow a different schedule on the last day of school as well.

We will have the NH Field Day the last day of school. Students should not need backpacks at school. I look forward to sending students off to summer vacation with some fun. I am very proud of students and staff with how this school year has gone. We will have a variety of activities for students to participate in and a share table for treats where students can bring something to share with peers and the school community. Please bring any items to the main office.

Tonight, our music and drama departments are hosting their Performing Arts Awards Night for their students and families. Thank you to all the families and boosters who help make our performing arts program thrive at Hale. They couldn’t do it without you.

As summer approaches it is important that students connect with their sports teams and coaches to see what the summer activities will be. Our goal is to have athletic information on the NH website shortly after school ends.

Quick message for the Class of 2027. Things come fast and furious senior year. The following is some information from our yearbook staff to help you plan for next year. The Hale yearbook loves celebrating our seniors! Start planning now to submit these items to be included in your student’s senior-year book. All info and deadlines will be posted on the Hale yearbook webpage by Raider Day, September 1st.

SENIOR PORTRAITS

All seniors may submit a portrait to be included in the yearbook instead of the ID photo you will take on Raider Day. Submitting a portrait is optional and free. (If you don’t submit, we will use your ID photo.)

Plan ahead:

  • Take your photos this summer or fall. We will accept submissions up until the end of November.
  • Submissions should be high-resolution images, in color, with the student’s face fully visible (no sunglasses or profile photos). Check out all portrait guidelines on our yearbook webpage before taking/submitting your photo.

SENIOR BABY PHOTOS

All seniors may choose to submit a baby photo of themselves. Submitting a senior baby photo is optional and free.

Plan ahead: Choose your cutest photo now! We will accept submissions until the end of November. Watch the yearbook webpage for more info.

SENIOR GRAD ADS

A paid senior grad ad is a lovely way to celebrate your student and their achievement. Grad ads include photos and a personal message to your senior. Pricing for grad ads will likely range from $50 to $275, depending on ad size. Prices will go up as the deadline approaches.

Plan ahead: Select 5-10 photos you might include in your ad, and consider what short message you want to say. You will create your own ad using our online portal. Grad ad sales will likely close in early 2027. Watch the yearbook page for more info on pricing, deadlines and how to submit.

BUYING A YEARBOOK

Be sure to pre-order a book! Yearbook sales open at the start of the school year and are offered during set sales windows. You will get the lowest price at the beginning of the year during the first sales window. Watch the yearbook webpage or SchoolPay for more info.

Have a nice weekend. Enjoy the warm weather and be safe.

In Partnership,

Jolene Grimes
Proud Principal
