Raider Day – Tue, 9/2

Raider Day is the day before the first day of school. This year it falls on Tuesday, 9/2.

More information, including arrival times (which are staggered based on grade and last name), will be posted here and emailed out to families in mid-August.

Students on Raider Day will:

  • Take their school photo for their student ID card and yearbook. Students can only get an ID card by taking a photo. This is just one of two dates when professional photographer, Yuen Lui, will be on site so it should not be missed! Portraits may be ordered directly from Yuen Lui; go to the School Photos page for link.
Sadly, many students miss the second photo date (scheduled for Thu, 10/23) despite reminders and passes sent to them with a scheduled time so everyone is strongly encouraged to take a photo on Raider Day.
  • Pick up their student laptop and charger.
  • Pick up their final schedule and get a chance to walk it out.
  • For freshmen – pick up their locker assignment and get a chance to practice opening their locker.
  • Purchase their activity/ASB card which is needed for sports participation and provides discounts to games and other events. ASB funds help support athletics, clubs and class activities and events. (The activity “card” is actually a sticker that is placed on the student ID card. Student needs to take a photo – see first bullet point – in order to get an ID card.)
  • Purchase their yearbook at the lowest price point offered during the school year.
  • Purchase spirit wear for the school year. Students can wear their colors for their grade.

Note: the last 2 bullet points are not required. The ASB card is needed to participate in athletics but is not required otherwise; however, all students are encouraged to purchase an ASB card.

The first day of school is Wednesday, 9/3. School will dismiss at 3:40pm on the first day.
