Friday 4/7 Message to Families

Beloved Families,

I hope you had a great start to April! With spring break this coming week, I hope your students spend time relaxing, reading and getting recharged for our final months of the school year. We will next see our students when our doors reopen on Monday, April 17th. As a reminder, our Nathan Hale Foundation is still hosting our online auction which closes in a few days on Sunday, April 9th.

HaleYes! Online Auction Opens: Celebrating 60 years of Raider Excellence
April 1-9, 2023

NHHS “HaleYes!” Online Auction

There’s still time to join us for our online “Hale Yes!” event to support our school. Follow the link above to see the catalogue and to bid. Look for experiences and items donated by faculty and our generous community of supporters. This year’s HaleYes! event celebrates a major milestone in Nathan Hale High School history! From the day the doors opened in 1963, Nathan Hale has been recognized for innovation and excellence in education, designed to create greater learning opportunities for all our students. The support of our families and community has been essential in this journey. We thank you for your support and hope you join us in our online “Hale Yes!” event.

From Nathan Hale Staff – Congratulations, Dr. Jackson!

We are so proud of Dr. Jackson who is the recipient of the Thomas B. Foster Award for Excellence. This award recognizes principals who have demonstrated success in promoting educational justice and racial equity at their schools. It recognizes what we know and are grateful for in Dr. Jackson’s leadership. Superintendent Brent Jones, district staff and Dr. Jackson’s family and friends were present at the surprise award assembly on Wednesday. Congratulations, Dr. Jackson!

Senior SPREE

Senior families – now is the time to purchase your student’s senior SPREE ticket for the all night, safe party on graduation night. See counselors if finances are a concern – scholarships are available. Senior SPREE tickets and information.

Junior families – would you like a sneak preview of Senior Spree night? Do you love to take photographs at events? Would you like to help at the June 27th check-in to Senior Spree? SPREE 23 is looking for one or two photographers for SPREE night, and several volunteers to help check in the seniors before they board the SPREE busses to their adventure. To volunteer.

Office Closed During Spring Break

The Main Office will be closed during spring break and will re-open again on Monday, April 17th. Email messages may be sent to nathanhale@seattleschools.org to be responded to as soon as we are able.

Have a restful and renewing spring break! Again, we look forward to having our students back in the building on Monday, April 17th!

With love,

William Jackson, Ed.D. (he, him)
