Friday 12/16 Message to Families

Beloved Families,

I hope you are all looking forward to the much needed Winter Break. We have so much to be grateful for as we say goodbye to this year in preparation for the next. Thank you to all of our families who contributed the amazing breakfast items for our staff appreciation day this week. It was a delicious spread, one of the best ever! We are also grateful for the generosity of our families in our gift card drive and in our NHHS Foundation sponsored Giving Tuesday. The first half of the school year was successful due to the efforts of all of you, your students, our educators and our staff including our custodians and food service crew. The Nathan Hale community is strong and moving forward.

I look forward to coming back in our new year refreshed and energized. As a reminder, December 19th – January 2nd we are on Winter Break. School will start again on Tuesday, January 3rd.

Two Great Break Activities

Students can avoid building up fines by taking time during break to find books, uniforms or other materials that need to be returned to school. Fines build up quickly, and often can be avoided by doing a search at home, in cars and at friends’ houses. Another great break activity is to find any completed service learning forms at home that need to be turned in. We are asking all students to turn in any hours they have upon return to school after break.

Nathan Hale Theatre Spring Musical Signups

The Spring Musical is Hello, Dolly! Signups opened December 12th. No experience needed. There are lots of ways to participate! Auditions will be Tuesday, January 3rd. Sign up on the Nathan Hale Theatre website.

Office Closed During Winter Break

The building and office will be closed during Winter Break, though some winter sports teams will hold practices and games in the building with their coaches over the break. Check the Nathan Hale Metro League schedule website for game schedule; please check back often as schedules could change. The office and our staff look forward to seeing your students when we return to school on Tuesday, January 3rd.

Have a restful break and a Happy New Year!

With love,
