Transcripts
An Official Transcript is one that is sent through official channels directly from BHS staff to a college or university.
An Unofficial Transcript is one that can be e-mailed directly to you for your use on your application. For details of how to submit your transcript to each school you are applying to, go to the college admissions website of the school you are applying to find out how they want this information.
Requesting Transcripts: Current Students
College Transcript Requests – Students using Common Application or SENDedu, please invite your school counselor to the online application source. Through this invite, the school counselor can upload your official transcript where multiple schools, of your choosing, can access your transcript.
For colleges and universities who are not on the Common Application and require an official transcript as part of the admissions process, it is the student’s responsibility to request through Naviance.
Transcript Request Forms can be submitted in the Counseling Office or emailed directly to the Registrar; mjgutierrez@seattleschools.org
Final Transcripts – all requests should be made through Naviance or Common App as needed.
Transfer Running Start Credits – Order transcripts directly from the Community Colleges (Edmonds College and North Seattle) for College in the High School credits.
Requesting Transcripts: Former Students
Former students and/or Employees seeking graduation verification, if it has been more than 2 years since you’ve graduated or withdrew from Nathan Hale, please contact Seattle Public Schools Student Records online or via phone 206-252-0139.
- Go to Parchment for Nathan Hale.
- Processing Time: Seattle Public Schools processes request electronically within 3-5 school days.
Requesting Transcriptions: Out of the District
Requests from Out of the District – Seattle Public Schools is now using a web-based application to help us manage all student records requests from other schools for transferring students.
Requests received via fax, phone calls, emails and mail from other schools will no longer be accepted.

How to Request Transcripts via Naviance
Follow the steps below to request a transcript in Naviance.
- From Naviance home page, scroll down to the My Favorites section and then click COLLEGES: I’m thinking about.

- Check the boxes next to each school you would like to request transcripts for and then click REQUEST TRANSCRIPTS.

- On the next page, review the request and then click Request and Finish.

- Look for the green confirmation box to ensure request was sent.
