Friday 5/16 Family Message
Happy Friday!
We completed AP Testing this week. Hats off to all students who AP tested and Ms. Bosworth and testing crew who made it happen. Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed.
This week I spent some time downtown working on the master schedule for the 2025-26 school year. It is time consuming and a huge task to get all the student registration requests and all incoming 9th graders registered for their classes. We are in the process of planning and preparing for our upcoming New Family Night on Wednesday, June 4th for the new families scheduled to start in September. This is a big night to welcome new families to Hale and showcase student athletics, activities and events that make NHHS a special place.
Students and staff just completed the School Climate Survey this week. We use the survey data to plan and prepare for the upcoming school year. Data is used to make the necessary adjustments and goals in our school NHHS CSIP. I appreciate parent/guardian feedback on where we are at with meeting our goals. Please review the CSIP and share any feedback and/or insight you may have regarding our progress towards our goals to jmgrimes@seattleschools.org as we look to review it as a school to make any adjustments, if needed.
Auction Praise- The Nathan Hale HS Foundation is excited to announce that “HaleYes!” donors and bidders raised $30,000 in support of our school in our recent online auction. HaleYes! We are grateful for the generosity in our community, and we look forward to sharing what will be funded in the coming months.
It is the time of year where we wrap up the current year 24-25 and plan for the upcoming school year 25-26. We are working diligently trying to hire new staff for unfilled positions and complete all the demands of the school to get students and staff to their summer vacation. I understand things are urgent with school wrapping up and appreciate parent/guardians’ patience and understanding that things may take a little longer than normal as we handle the daily operations and business within the school.
It’s the final weekend for the Nathan Hale theatre production of The Addams Family. It is a must see musical! Performances are this evening and Saturday evening at 7pm and a sensory-friendly matinee on Saturday at 2pm. Ticket information is available on the Nathan Hale Theatre website.
