Friday 1/27 Message to Families

Beloved Families,

Our last full week in January has been one of exciting student work. Last night, in our Performing Arts Center, our Unified Drama class presented their performance of three one act plays, two of which they wrote. The plays were creative, humorous and insightful. A reception hosted by our Nathan Hale Community Organization followed the performance.

This past Wednesday, January 25th, we celebrated our annual student-led Unity In The Community! Our day was filled with learning experiences curated by students with the design of the day developed entirely by our amazing student leaders. I am so proud of our students in their efforts to build our community and lead us into the future! We would like to thank our student organizers and workshop presenters, our students who participated in each of the workshops, NHHS alumni who returned to present, our parent and community presenters who stepped in to share their expertise with our students and staff, our staff who supported every aspect of the day, and our NHCO who provided hospitality and lunch for our presenters. On days like this at Nathan Hale, we get a glimpse of how our students will be a positive force in the world and it gives us hope.

As a reminder, the last day of First Semester is Wednesday, February 8th. As we approach the end of the semester, I encourage you to review Schoology and The Source with your student to have a full grasp of how your student is performing in all of their classes. If there are additional questions and concerns regarding your student’s academic performance, do not hesitate to reach out to their teacher.
