Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!

You are now a Nathan Hale Raider - CONGRATULATIONS!  I hope you were able to spend some quality time with your teen this summer and they are looking forward to the new school year.  Our staff and I expect to work on developing habits of mind, habits of heart, and habits of work with all our students this year.

The first official day of school is Wednesday, September 4, 2019. School starts at 8:45AM.  Dismissal time on Wednesday, September 4th only will be 3:35PM.

We will kick off our school year with RAIDER DAY on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.  See schedule below for arrival times.  The transition to high school is an important one.  Families are welcome to attend Raider Day with their student and are invited to Raider Day Coffee sponsored by our NHCO and NHHS Foundation, 9-11AM, in the Activity Center.  Parents and Guardians of 9th graders and any new student are invited to an informational session with me in the Benson Forum at 11:30 AM.  Please come and share the spirit of our community.

§  Take school & ID/Activity Card pictures (appropriate dress requested).  A price list from Yuen Lui is available under News and here. They encourage ordering your pictures in advance by going to their website; click here for the link.  Seniors, these pictures are different from the “senior portraits” used in the yearbook-hopefully you had your portrait done over the summer by a reputable photographer to be submitted by CD or delivered by the studio to our yearbook advisor by the deadline (in late October/early November) to be announced soon.
§  Purchase Activity Cards $45.00 (funds from these cards support all activities, clubs and sports at NHHS)
§  Purchase Yearbook $60.00 (buy now as the price will go up on January 1, 2020)
If paying by check, please make check payable to Nathan Hale High School (NHHS).
One check for both the Activity Card and the Yearbook is acceptable ($105).
Save yourself time waiting in line by making your payments on-line!  Go to the parent school portal, The Source, and click the SchoolPay Link to pay all of your student’s fees or fines via credit/debit card from home or on your personal device.  New this year, we will be able to accept payments via debit/credit cards at school through our Fiscal Office.
§  9th Graders will receive locker assignments/10th-12th Graders will pick up locker assignment from custodial window in the morning before classes begin
§  Pick up final schedule of classes
§  Walk through your schedule to find your classes
    §  Pay existing outstanding fines
§  Purchase Raider Gear – see the Sports Booster website for prices (checks payable to:  NHHS Sports Boosters)
