Lunar New Year is today, February 12, 2021 – Welcome to the Year of the Ox!

We look forward to a year of hope, prosperity, and determination as we reach towards our goals. Celebrate with us by trying some of our family traditions: making dumplings, watching music videos, steaming and eating rice cakes, decorating doorways, and spending time with family (safely!).

The Coalition of Asian and Pacific Islander Students is hosting their second annual Lunar New Year fundraiser. We are selling stickers designed by CAPS members Salta and Olivia! Please stay tuned for more information and links to purchase. We appreciate your support! Please have a safe and restful mid-winter break.

    Teams for Education

We are rolling out a new version of Microsoft Teams throughout all our classes. Read more about it on the district Teams for Education webpage. This change ensures the highest level of safety and security for everyone. Some classes have piloted the new version with great success, providing feedback to ensure a smooth rollout for all classes on February 25th and 26th (after mid-winter break). Educators will introduce the changes in Mentorship on Wednesday, February 24th, then revisit throughout the remainder of the week in all classes. We will use asynchronous (afternoon) time as needed to support learners and families. Please view accessing classes via the Outlook calendar for more information. We appreciate your support and patience!
