AP exams are offered to students enrolled in an AP class at Nathan Hale or another Seattle Public School high school.

Registration deadline has been extended until 3:00pm March 8th. This is an absolute deadline. Ordering will be closed and fees must be paid in full. If the registration link shows the prior deadline, the registration site is being reconfigured to allow for extension; please be patient and check back again.

Registration for AP exams will begin Monday, January 7, 2019 and closes Wednesday, February 27 at 5:00 pm. Students register online at Total Registration. Students complete their pre-administration session online. Students must answer all questions fully and correctly, as this information will be pre-printed on the AP answer sheet form and will not be editable after it is printed.

Each exam will cost $102 and payment will be made through SchoolPay via the Source. The Fiscal Office will accept cash and checks. Please keep a copy of your receipt/confirmation for your records. Registrations that are not paid in full by the registration deadline will be cancelled, and exams will  not be ordered.

We will continue to offer a reduced price of $15 per exam for students qualify for F/R lunch. When registering, please check the box indicating that you qualify for the reduced price.  If you believe that you qualify for an AP exam reduction or Free & Reduced (FRL) and have not completed the form, please get a copy of the form from the Counseling Office and return it to either the Counseling Office or Lunchroom manager.

If students live in the Seattle Public Schools attendance area, but do not attend an SPS school and would like to register to take an AP exam, students and families should contact the high school AP Coordinator for assistance. Note that SPS high schools are typically unable to provide AP exam testing to non-SPS students due to capacity issues. You may be referred to another school that may be able to provide the exam.  For questions about AP testing for Non-SPS students, please contact the Advanced Learning Department at Seattle Public Schools.

Visit the College Board website for more information about Advanced Placement testing and other information to help students prepare for exams.

The School Day SAT will be administered at Nathan Hale to all juniors free of charge on March 6, 2019. Students are automatically registered by the school district and do not need to sign up. To prepare for the SAT, students can link their college board account to Khan Academy and get a personalized practice plan using the results of their PSAT/NMSQT exam. Students need a College Board account to access results online.
